The
Foodshed Project
Our programs support
the City of Greater Sudbury Food Charter!
Our Vision: A sustainable self-reliant food system that supports community economic
development and access to healthy, locally grown food within the City of Greater Sudbury.
Our Mission: To work in partnership with youth
and the citizens of the City of Greater Sudbury to develop
sustainable community food security initiatives that improve
our health, our community, our
economy, and our environment.
Our Plan: We will grow our foodshed by:
Supporting youth-led food sustainability projects;
Supporting community gardening iniatives;
Educating on food security planning;
Promoting awareness of bioregionalism and climate change;
Educating on environmental stewardship and
biodiversity;
Supporting social equity, social inclusion, and multi-culturalism; and
Facilitating food-based community economic development. Contact
